In order to study the analgesic effects on the pain induced by acetic acid in isotonic saline solution in mice, the aqupuncture and aqua-aqupuncture with saline, Gastrodiae Rhizoma and baralgin were inserted into the corresponding bilateral loce to the Jog-Sam-Ri (S_(36)), Cheon-Chu(S_(25)), and Blank loci(non-apupuncture loci at the root of the tail).
Analgesic effects of aqupuncture and aqua-aquputure were studied by counting the numbers of writhing syndrome.
The following results have been obtained.
1. Comparing with control group, aqupuncture and three aqua-aqupuncture stimulaion groups showed more significant analgesic effect at bilateral Jog-Sam-Ri & Cheon-Chu loci than Blank loci.
2. According to the time-interval, all groups showed the significant analgesic effects comparing with control group.
Aqua-aqupuncture groups with Gastrodiae Rhizoma and baralgin showed better results than aqupuncture group for 30 munutes.
3. There were no significant difference of analgesic effect according to the concentration of aqua-aqupuncture with Gastrodeae Rhizoma(10 %, 20 %, 50 %).
